While delivering source code offers the highest level of customization, an important question arises: how should the code be licensed? Axinom decided to license its reusable components (customizable services and libraries) under a widely used and very permissive open-source MIT license. This brings several benefits to the community:

How does Axinom earn money?

When Axinom delivers its services as open source, how does it earn money?

Usage of our templates and libraries provided under MIT license is indeed 100% free.

Axinom charges for:

  • Usage of the Managed Services (consumption-based)
  • Usage of the Core services (can be thought of as a platform access fee)
    • This fee depends on the number of users/roles/service accounts, RabbitMQ users/connections, number of custom services, number of development environments
    • Waived if only Managed Services are used
    • Waived (except users/roles) if Axinom Hosting is used
  • Hosting
  • Support, Training and Consulting
  • Professional Services for building custom solutions.
